Vintage 1950's GE-SHURE CM Dynamic Microphone w/desk stand - restored

Offering a vintage
1950's GENERAL ELECTRIC MODEL (Shure
97U29)
Microphone with SHURE S36 Desk Stand
. These "soapbar" style mics were released under several different licensees, but were all built by the Shure Brothers. This GE model has been
completely refurbished physically
, new paint, clear coat and wiring, but still
contains the original SHURE controlled magnetic element
which is in perfect operational order, tested with
strong output
. The Shure S36 desk stand has also been restored with matching paint and clear coat. Affectionately nicknamed "Turtle Shell", it is fastened to the mic head with a single screw on the mic underside.
A previous owner had added a switch on the front and side which we removed and covered the switch holes. The mic is wired to a short cable with 1/4" male phono plug on the end. (If you prefer an XLR plug, we can swap that at no charge.) The mic with stand measures 6.5" long, 10" tall, and has 5 pads to protect your desktop along with cable retainer clip.
